Tiger Woods Scandal
So, I leave the country for 2 weeks, come back, and the best golfer of all time is totally in the shitter!
By now, everyone has heard the infamous voicemail and read some of the text messages, but it seems like every day something new pops out.
The first week after it happened, if you had asked me if this would affect Tiger’s game, I’d have said no way. After another week, though, of new allegations, new women, etc, this story remains the #1 news story in the world. With all of this unwanted attention, the intimate details of Tiger’s life being shared with the world have the potential to damage him on the course.
On the other hand, look at Kobe Bryant and what he went through in his rape trial in Colorado. The basketball court was his shelter where he could suspend his real-life problems and dominate on the court (which he did). Tiger could use golf as an escape from all of this hoopla where he’s totally focused, so this could end up making him perform better.
Most pundits agree that he should “go maverick on Oprah’s couch” and get it over it. Until he does that and owns up, the speculation and rumors will keep swirling, wreaking havoc in their path.

I think it will be a long time until we see Tiger on the golf course.
Thanks to Moses for helping me fix a typo. Enjoy the rest of your trip in Columbia.
