Football or Golf
Summer has officially ended. Here in Texas, daylight escapes us around 7pm. The football season is bustling and the Houston Golf Nut’s beloved Wolverines are 4-0 (much better than last year, right?).
I realized the dilemma last night. This Saturday, I have a big football game to watch at 11am (Michigan vs Michigan State). I also need to carry the sticks around the links for about 4 hours. Before the game is out of the question (daylight doesn’t even break until 7am). The football game most likely will last until at least 2:30pm, if not 3pm. Drive to the course… stretch and warm-up… slap a couple putts… doesn’t seem likely to comfortably tee off until 4pm.

I have tentative plans to golf with some work buddies on Saturday afternoon, most likely teeing off around 2:30pm. Say it’s 1:30pm, the football game is tied midway through the 3rd quarter! What’s a man to do? [Oh, I can't DVR the game because it's not on national TV.]
There are a ton of football fans/golf fanatics in Houston. There’s a lot of football going on down here: UT, UH, A&M, Tech, Texans, Cowboys, etc… Now that the weather actually permits afternoon golf, how do you deal with the football golf dilemma?
